Start the adventure of a lifetime
Futures has three progressive stages to inspire a lifelong love of the game. Each stage has offerings for coaching, playing formats, events and experiences to support young people to learn at their own pace and are appropriate for their stage of development.
New players who are starting their journey in golf have the opportunity to learn new skills, have fun, make new friends and can just have a go at smashing balls, hitting targets and watching it fly!
Young golfers who are growing a love for the game, have the opportunity to learn valuable life skills through golf and develop their confidence and skills on modified course lengths.
Young golfers who have aspirations to develop their skills as a player, loves the game for the personal challenge and variety of competitive opportunities but also for those who enjoy being outdoors and playing for fun with their friends and family.
Futures TEAM Golf 6
Can’t wait to get on course?

TEAM Golf brings friends and family together and provides young golfers who are starting to play on course, the opportunity to work as a team in a fun and relaxed environment.

Teams of four play in a fun, fast, ambrose, six-hole format on a shortened golf course. Everyone can use the 'It’s Okay Rules' which allows for players to tee it up from anywhere, throw it out of the bunker and not count shots if they swing and miss!

Grandparents and parents play a vital role on the day too, having a role as caddy or just being there to show their support and let the kids play.

A Futures Club is a golf club that has made the commitment to inspire the next generation of golfers and recognised by New Zealand Golf as working towards

Futures Coach

A Futures Coach is a person who enjoys supporting young people in golf. A Futures Coach could simply be whanau taking their child to golf. It could be a passionate club member or someone who has time to help a group of young people from their club explore and learn golf. It could also be someone who wishes to support their PGA Professional coach young people and take them on course to play golf.

Futures Coaches aren’t expected to be golf swing instructors, nor are they expected to be a gun golfer. It is for people who are passionate about young people and golf.
