The stunning Waimea Inlet is the largest semi-enclosed estuary in the South Island. It provides habitat for rare and threatened native plants and animals, and important populations of coastal wetland birds and migratory wading birds. The stunning estuary and mountain views is one reason why Greenacres is so popular with visitors.
The comfortable Best Island Lounge and outside deck provides a home from home for our members and many first-time visitors have enjoyed the Greenacres experience so much they have stayed around and become part of the furniture! The spacious open-plan lounge features a Cafe and a fully licensed bar. There is a good selection of craft beers available, fine wines and spirits, and a range of refreshing non alcoholic drinks. The excellent Best Island Café feature a variety of delicious food options.
Greenacres offers everything you would expect from a great golf club, a driving range, practice greens, bunker, and chipping area. Trundler hire, and electric buggy hire through the pro-shop that is open seven days.
Greenacres is an outstanding choice for client or staff corporate golf days and is able to provide a complete package to suit your needs. Many of our clients are old friends who return year after year, so much do they enjoy their corporate golf day experience with us. The spacious clubhouse facilities are also available for hire, with the beautiful golf course as a backdrop.

The pro-shop is open 7 days per week, and there is coaching available with our resident professional, Alistair Palmer.
